Where are we kiting this weekend?
I don't know what all of our commitments are yet, but I hope to get out this weekend. Where's the best spot for west wind Gavin?
Camping around Caribou
Yo buddy,
Erin and I are going to camp at Caribou provincial park.
Planning to kite either there or at Waterside provincial park.
Give me a call tomorrow if you're coming up! (902) 789-3922

Re: Where are we kiting this weekend?
Mark and I tried Brule Point (near Tatamagouche) today- it had such great potential but ultimately it sucked! Gusty as hell and freezing cold at 8 deg. Didn't bring gloves or boots, didn't last too long. We took turns wearing Marks gloves and boots- how pathetic.

Brrr
Gavin, sorry to hear it..
I should have mentioned how cold it was up there.. man!!
I'm keen to try out that spot I mentioned around caribou island on a NW (rather than W), maybe later this week or next weekend.
This time we'll come prepared!

Re: Where are we kiting this weekend?
Spent the day with family yesterday. Today is my only opportunity to get out. Hopefully the water won't be too cold. On Thursday I managed to ride with no wetsuit for an hour. I Haven't figured out where we're going today.

Kited at Malpeque on Saturday (9M) and Sunday (6M), cold. Kited beside the bridge on the PEI side today (9M), much warmer.

Re: Where are we kiting this weekend?
I kited Malpeque on friday on my 7m. I was all by myself, how about you Trevor? I was expecting to see others show up but it didn't happen. I wore gloves and no boots. My hands got pretty cold and my feet were frozen to the point of that pins and needs feeling in my heels for over an hour after my session. Not liking this dropping temperature trend!!
Re: Where are we kiting this weekend?
Chris, I had a windsurfing friend with me on Saturday; Sunday and Monday it was just me. I found the Malpeque water colder than by the bridge. I wore a 4/3 with 2mm booties and no gloves. This cold weather is sucking.
