Snowkiting in Aulac this SAt.
Probably going to head to Aulac this Sat. for a snowkite sesh. I'll call the NS Visitor Centre just up the road to confirm they have lots of snow and post the result. I'd be surprised if they don't have snow considering how close they are to Moncton- which is over run with the stuff.
The forecast is for South wind (Sat. and Sunday) which should work in Aulac nicely. If you've never been there before, it has a huge open flat area and also has a steep hill for gliding!
Cheers

Re: Aulac
I'm thinking about it, Gavin. My hesitation is that it looks a little gusty for my 13m, especially given the drive. I'll see what develops and I'll post. If you want to check in I'm at 483-8511.

Aulac for sure!
Definately going to Aulac tomorrow. Called the NS Visitor Centre and the lady said there's tons of snow! The launch is at Fort Beausejour, Aulac. The entrance to the fort is directly opposite the Irving Big Spot. I'm leaving Halifax fairly early 8:30 am ish. If anyone is interested in joining then car pooling might be a good idea.
Hey Jonny, no problem- I'll lend you a kite if needed. I do seem to have a few of them.

Alright,
Hopefully you won't have to. My 13 is new and has a decent range.
I can get wheels, or I'm happy to carpool (and pay gas). I basically live downtown.
Give me a call if you want to coordinate anything, either tonight or early tomorrow. Otherwise I'll probably drive up myself and look for you when I get there.
