So, if the fog & lightning hold off and the wind picks up- I'll be at Stoney with some new gear that I'm dying to try out.

At Stoney(1:00 o'clock) No fog, tide going out soon, wind is picking up- 8/10kts. Now. Going kiting!

Where were you this weekend? I hope it was windy where ever you were because you missed two good days at Stoney! I have the F One Bandit 3 10M for a few weeks as a demo- used it yesterday on a twin tip and today on the surfboard. Pretty powerful for a 10m - almost the same as my 13m warroo. It's a good kite! Rips you right off the water for jumps and has good hangtime.

I just may have to keep it.

Robin and I went to Crescent today.

i've been in the calgary area for the past 10 days, heading home tomorrow. there has been quite a bit of wind but not an ocean in site. the only water seems to be rivers and i haven't figured out how to get on one yet! lots of open fields and mountains for snow kiting though!

Calgary, how bout that. For myself, no ocean = no go. I'm sure it was work related, right?

As for Stoney, it was ..... variable. 8kts to 16kts for an hour or two. Fun just the same. Hey, it wasn't that strong, but I was on a 10m all day.

Yeah buddy, can't complain when you're riding on a 10m!

Troy, what a great day. I did only get about an hour and a half, but that was a pretty sweet 90 minutes. On a 9m Yarga (fly's like a 7)

I rode both sides for 45. The ocean was quite choppy, even between sets when its usually like butter where I'm used to (read Conrad's). Did boost some big jumps but I couldn't get the timing down. Went to the backside, where it was as I had guessed Jeff riding his 7m.

Money! The tide was high and the water came right up to the road, save for the grassy patch near the end of the road for launching. Buttery! blasting along the road, at car speed.

Interesting that the wind was so much stronger at Crescent. I needed a good session, so it was a good choice to drive the extra distance.
